The MoU stipulates French cooperation with Iran for railroad expansion and development of suburban trains, rail stations, high-speed trains, as well as structural reform in Iran’s rail sector and crisis management, among other fields, IRNA reported.
The MoU was signed during a visit by a French delegation, including representatives of rail companies and French Parliament.
It is a follow-up to a preliminary agreement Iran signed with France during President Hassan Rouhani’s visit to the European country in January 2016, when deals worth billions of dollars were signed, Financial Tribune reported.
